This morning the UPS driver commented on the strange haze and asked f I knew what it was. I said it looked like there was a forest fire somewhere, but he pointed out that it was a general haze everywhere we looked. Later I heard on the radio that the Gulf Stream was blowing dust from the Western states through our area. So I guess now we have a little bit of Texas (and probably some of Oklahoma) right here in Georgia!
Interesting. I wonder what the DUst Bowl years were like?
ReplyDeleteTerrible, from what I've heard. Mainly because all that dust was coming from what was supposed to be pasture. As a farmer, the thought makes me cringe.
