Freaky Weather

Saturday we had snow flurries, but nothing stuck.

Up on Lookout Mountain (in the distance out our back door), it was a different matter.

Snow flurries and daffodils make a funny combination!  Then the snow turned to sleet and went away. Too bad!  I love our little valley wearing white!

Today was gloomy all day, then we had a practically-tropical rainstorm, followed by weak sun and strong winds.  I love when Lookout Mountain turns purply-blue.

When it started looking like this outside, I checked the weather app on my iPad.  This is not dusk, this is storm-light, and accompanied by high winds, it's kind of scary.  Sure enough, there's a wind advisory:  Winds gusting up to 40 miles an hour may topple trees which have been soaked with recent rains.  (Yes, we knew that, thank you.)  All we can do is hope the mighty oak outside our back door stands strong!

    1. If I had answered this earlier tonight, Barbara, I would have said, "I'm saving some for you this weekend." But now I'll just have keep sharing pictures until this summer. :( Tell T. we're glad he's got that much work in this economy! :)

    1. Jennifer, it reminds me of what we used to say about the weather in Texas: "If you don't like it, wait a minute!"
