A Sweet Treat
Herb came home from school early today and got a sweet treat for dessert--homegrown strawberries. They make the storebought ones taste fake! Then he took me to check out several pieces of furniture I found to potentially screen the kitchen sink from the dining area. We found one we both liked & got a sweet deal on it! Then he took me to pick out my Mother's Day present, which I will not reveal until it arrives . . . Finally, he took me to The Melting Pot for a delicious meal of two cheese fondues followed by Bananas Foster fondue! Mmmm! After we got home and I went out to shut up the chickens, I brought him one final sweet treat--several more strawberries that ripened in today's heat. What a perfectly sweet way to end a lovely day!

Miam, thanks for saving some to share with us!
ReplyDeleteMaybe tomorrow we'll have digested enough of Kara's delicious gourmet meal to have room for the strawberries!
