Look Who's Back!

Siobhan is back home!  We got an email Thursday evening from Warren and Sally Coad of Freedom Farms telling us that her pregnancy test had just come back positive.  Herb didn't have class Friday morning, and although we had other plans for the day, we headed up to Philadelphia, TN, to get her.  We also got to see an adorable newborn heifer of Cash's (he's at the bottom of the page in this link).  We were thrilled to hear what Sally had to say about our Siobhan's lovely temperament and good conformation--and that she's welcome back any time on their farm.

I wish I could say Siobhan is happy to be home, but she's not.  She walks around the pasture bellowing periodically.  I know she's looking for Cash.  (Aren't we all?)  :)  After all, she's been with him since August 22 (see this link for more information and photos of Cash).

T-Bone, on the other hand, seems very happy to have Siobhan back, and he doesn't stray far from her side.

He did come up to see me, though not close enough to be touched.  The last time either Herb or I got our hands on him was when Herb castrated him and I gave him his immunization shot (left behind by the vet after T-Bone eluded us while the vet was on the premises).

T-Bone is doing his best to welcome Siobhan home, letting her scratch her neck on his head.

Somehow, from her expression, I don't think it's working.

I'm pretty sure T-Bone can smell Cash's "after shave," but he faithfully followed Siobhan off into the sunset.

Sigh!  The tragedy of unrequited love!

  1. I don't blame T-bone not wanting to get to close to you so you could touch him. I wouldn't either if you had castrated and poked me with a needle:)Siobhan does have that look in her eye that she dosn't want to be there, and who could blame her, T-bone will always be nothing but a good friend. This is better then most soap operas I have seen. You could call it "As the Farm Turns"
