Like Thieves in the Night

About 5 o'clock this morning, I woke up and saw that there was light shining around the crack of our bedroom door.  Then I heard a noise in the living room.  I thought, "Herb must be up; I didn't hear him get up."  I reached out to touch his side of the bed--and he was in it!  Someone was in the house!  I jumped up, opened the door, and saw that the light was coming down from the upstairs guest room.  I started up the stairs to see what was going on, and one of the intruders poked her head through the door upstairs and said, "Darn!  We almost made it!"  And there they were, sneaking in, carrying clothes and computers INTO the house--

SURPRISE! Jenny and Jean-Marc here for the weekend after having driven all night from Virginia! What a lovely surprise!

  1. We're just glad we made it safely so late at night. We were so afraid that Herb would welcome us with his shotgun!

  3. Thanks Gayle! We were on FB today and saw Damien's status re: Phil. Hope all is well on that end. We miss you all! We were showing off all the pics of Ashely to my Mom and Dad today! They have fond memories and said they were soooo impressed with Ashely this summer; she has such a lovely personality! Anyway, all that to say, we miss and if you have Phil on the Phone, please tell him we miss him! Bisous, Jlea et Jihem

  4. You can see we're really profiting by spending some quality time together! :) Actually, even though Jenny was the one breaking into my house, when she heard me coming up the stairs,I scared her and made her scream!
