Two years ago in December 2010, Brandy had surgery on her stifles, called Medial Patellar Ligament Splitting. Recently I got comments on that post from Maureen Webb in the UK asking how Brandy had done since her vet had recommended the same surgery for her horse Fred.
Fred had her surgery on March 7, and Maureen is very wisely keeping a journal about Fred's progress. It sounds like Fred's original condition was more severe than Brandy's, so we're sending her our best wishes for real healing and great progress. You can follow Maureen & Fred's journey here. I'm sure Maureen would appreciate comments from anyone else whose horse has had this surgery, especially any encouragement you have to offer.
