May Showers

April showers bring May flowers--but we had no April showers this year. We had a trace of rain, but no showers.  By the end of April, we were 4" down from our normal rainfall.

But May has been a different story.  Several times we've had sudden afternoon thunderstorms with pelting rain, like we did on the 18th and again late this afternoon.

It's added up to almost two inches of rain this month, far below our normal May rainfall, but a blessing, nonetheless.

And to add blessing upon blessing, this evening's setting sun set the misty air aglow.  April showers might bring May flowers, but it seems May showers bring golden hours!
